Cancellation of activities
Activities may change due to factors outside of our control, at times with short notice. This may be due to a number of reasons including but not limited to, animal welfare requirements, operational requirements, staff availability, weather conditions, fire weather warnings, mechanical problems or government restrictions. Tiny Zoo will notify you as soon as possible if changes are required and we will offer you a full refund if we are unable to give you an activity of equivalent value and nature acceptable to you.
You accept that the nature of the activity may have a degree of inherent risk and danger that may cause serious injury and possible death to guests.
I fully understand that there are risks and dangers associated with my participation in the activity and accept these risks entirely.

COVID-19 virus
The COVID-19 virus has had a significant impact on the health of people and communities around the world. You acknowledge that you are choosing to travel at a time where you may be exposed to the COVID-19 virus which may have direct or indirect consequences, including but not limited to, medical issues, travel restrictions including border closures and potentially hotel or other quarantine requirements. We will take all reasonable steps to ensure your safety and may require you to follow additional mandatory safety protocols on your activity if we deem, or government authorities deem it necessary.
Any travel restrictions, medical expenses or quarantine requirements incurred by you as a result of participating on a Tiny Zoo activity will be at your own cost and we will not be liable for any of these costs. It is your responsibility to stay up to date with current government rules and regulations including but not limited to vaccination requirements, personal safety measures, border closures and travel restrictions.
If you are cancelling an activity due to government mandated travel restrictions, the activity will be fully transferable to another time (within 12 months). Government mandated travel restrictions include the following:
- Border closures at time of tour departure
- Lockdown orders for yourself or location of the tour at time of tour departure
- Travel cancellations preventing you from arriving on the tour.
If you have ‘flu-like symptoms’ supported by a medical certification, you will be able to transfer the activity to another time (within 12 months).
We reserve the right to ask for any reasonable evidence, written statements and or documents to support the reasons for cancellations.
Full payment is required at time of booking
The guest may cancel the activity at any time. However, the following terms and conditions apply:
- If you cancel more than 14 days before the activity, we will retain 10% of the amount paid as an administration fee
- If you cancel more than 7 days but less than 14 days, we will retain 50% of the total amount paid
- If you cancel less than 7 days prior to the activity or if you don’t not appear for the activity for any reason, we will retain 100% of the total amount paid.
Cancellation by Tiny Zoo
Tiny Zoo may cancel the activity for any reason and at any time before the commencement of the activity, including if the number of guests participating in the activity does not meet the minimum number of guests required by Tiny Zoo. In this event, Tiny Zoo will provide a full refund of all monies paid.
In the event that there is a state or national lockdown as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic which results in the activity being cancelled or the guests not being able to travel to participate in the activity, Tiny Zoo will offer a credit to the guest for use within one (1) year of the date of the cancellation.
Cancellation due to Force Majeure
Force Majeure includes but is not limited to: ‘acts of God’, war; civil commotion, riot; blockade or embargo, fire, explosion, breakdown, union dispute, earthquake, epidemic, pandemic or other health emergency, any abrupt or unexpected increase in the cost of fuel or shortage of fuel, flood, windstorm or other extreme weather event, lack or failure of courses of supply, passage of any law, order, proclamation, regulation, ordinance, demand, requisition or requirement or any other act of any government authority, beyond the reasonable control of the parties, whether or not foreseeable, which would make it dangerous or not viable for a trip to commence or continue.
If an activity is cancelled due to a Force Majeure Event, we will refund you all monies paid minus any of our unrecoverable costs.
